I was blessed with a daughter and a son. The perfect family!! However, life is not always so perfect. Marriage is the most intimate of relationships. When that relationship ends in divorce there is a sense of loss. When it is severed by death, intense sorrow follows. Through my times of struggle, my children have been my strength, courage and, without saying, my happiness. Their constant love reminds me who I am.
My grandchildren are my incandescent joy. It always surprises me how one little hug can remind me how special I am. They put the smile on my face, the laughter in my voice and the busy in my days. They are my Jelly Bellys, Blueberry, Lemon drop, Green Apple and Sunkist Orange. They, of course, know who they are for Nana's cupboard is colour coded (blue, yellow, green and orange) with all the essentials to meet their every demand. Just when I thought life could be perfect, it gets better. There is a jelly belly in the belly...Pink Cotton Candy? or Berry Blue? Thank goodness blue comes in more than one shade!
